Become a Media Lead Volunteer at PSJ UK

Are you passionate about storytelling across digital, broadcast and print media? Are you also keen to use your voice and skills to influence positive change?

Can you lead a team of both aspiring and experienced media-volunteers in this space? Join us as a Media Lead Volunteer and help amplify the voice of the International Organisation for Peace Building & Social Justice (PSJ UK) in mobilising Nigerians (and friends of Nigeria) in the UK for justice, peace, human rights, and positive social change.

About PSJ UK

The International Organisation for Peace Building & Social Justice (PSJ UK) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advocating for justice, human rights, and social change in Nigeria and across Sub-Saharan Africa. We mobilise the African diaspora and allies in the UK to take meaningful action, support persecuted communities, and influence policies that promote peace, security, and development. Through strategic advocacy, community engagement, and humanitarian initiatives, we address pressing issues such as religious persecution, displacement, and marginalisation.

What You’ll Do:

  • LEAD THE TEAM TO:
  • Develop an overall media strategy to grow awareness and encourage action in response to PSJ UK’s advocacy programmes.
  • Lead the creation and distribution of impactful content across PSJ UK’s digital platforms.
  • Oversee the development of content for third-party platforms, including press releases and op-eds.
  • Manage and oversee social media channels, ensuring engagement and consistency in messaging.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop multimedia campaigns, including graphics, videos, and articles.
  • Monitor analytics to track engagement and refine content strategies.
  • Oversee Media Reviews and provide Official responses where necessary. 
  • Explore opportunities for PSJUK CEO and Directors to contribute to public discourse on relevant matters (across news & current affairs programmes, industry events and Roundtables).
  • Establish a unified narrative across the organisation for Public discourse.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A motivated changemaker & leader of people
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for advocacy, storytelling, and community engagement.
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong commitment to social justice.
  • Familiarity with different media formats and distribution networks.
  • A diplomatic mindset with a basic understanding of international development themes.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with excellent networking abilities.
