Gunmen abduct doctor from private clinic Delta
Gunmen have abducted a medical doctor in Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State.
DAILY POST gathered that the doctor, Donatus Nwasor, was abducted from his clinic at the close of work.
His auxiliary nurse at the clinic raised the alarm when she saw her boss forcefully taken away.
As the doctor entered his car after closing around 8 pm and switched on the ignition, a call came.
“While the engine was on, he stepped out to answer the phone call. Suddenly, about five men came out of a nearby bush and hit him down, dragged him into his car and drove away.
“One of the abductors’ rubber sandals fell off at the clinic premises, and they drove towards the Ugiliamai/Iselegu area,” the nurse said.
The doctor’s car was later found abandoned near Iselegu Junction along the expressway leading to Asaba.
“A group of Anti-Cult personnel in Utagba-Uno got there around 9:10 pm and found a car with all the doors wide open without anyone inside.
“It was confirmed that it was Dr Nwasor’s car,” a source stated.
Efforts to trace the abductors led to the discovery of an escape track near Obi-Ukpo in Onicha-Ukwuani.
The source disclosed that Nwasor’s family and concerned individuals have been informed, while the matter has been reported to the Nigeria Police Force, Kwale Division.
