The Peace and Social Justice UK (PSJUK) is deeply saddened that it often takes the statements or hashtags of Western figures to provoke visible concern or reaction from the Nigerian government on matters that have long demanded urgent attention.

Whether one chooses to label it a “Christian genocide” or otherwise, the undeniable reality is that Nigerians are being slaughtered — families are being torn apart, lives are being lost, and communities are being displaced in senseless cycles of violence.

We must ask: is our government more troubled by how it is perceived in the eyes of America, or by how it is remembered in the hearts of Nigerians who have buried loved ones due to terror, banditry, or ethnic conflict?

PSJUK stands firmly for peace and justice. Our work is rooted in the belief that every Nigerian life matters — regardless of tribe, faith, or tongue. We call on the Nigerian government to go beyond press statements and demonstrate, through decisive action, that the protection of human life is its highest priority.

We urge leaders, institutions, and citizens alike to rise above political defensiveness and commit wholeheartedly to rebuilding trust, ensuring security, and restoring dignity to all who call Nigeria home.
