    About PSJ UK

    PSJ UK is an organisation mobilising Nigerians in the UK to have a cohesive voice in addressing key issues in both the UK and Nigeria. Our mission includes advocating for justice, human rights, and civic engagement, particularly encouraging young Nigerians to participate in shaping their future.

    Role Overview

    As an International Development Volunteer at PSJ UK, you will support the growth and sustainability of our initiatives by assisting with research, partnerships, fundraising, and project development. Your role will actively support in developing and executing innovative ideas that advance PSJ UK’s mission. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team, turning concepts into impact-driven programmes, campaigns, and partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in writing grant applications, funding proposals, and sponsorship requests.
    • Help coordinate development-related meetings, workshops, and networking events.
    • Collaborate with the team to create and implement sustainable project models.
    • Contribute to monitoring and evaluating the impact of PSJ UK’s development initiatives.
    • Take the lead on planning, structuring, and executing selected initiatives (with guidance)
    • Collaborate with team members to pilot and implement new projects
    • Research emerging global issues and propose responsive interventions
    • Document learnings and assess the impact of experimental initiatives
    • Support community engagement, storytelling, and strategic outreach

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, and strategic partnerships.
    • Strong research and writing skills.
    • Ability to engage with stakeholders professionally and build relationships.
    • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or project management (preferred but not required).
    • Comfortable using digital tools for communication, research, and documentation.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
