    About PSJ UK 

    PSJ UK is an organization mobilizing Nigerians in the UK to have a cohesive voice in addressing key issues in both the UK and Nigeria. Our mission includes advocating for justice, human rights, and civic engagement, particularly encouraging young Nigerians to participate in shaping their future. 

     

    Role Review

    PSJ UK is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer to support the planning, creation, and distribution of our regular newsletters. This role plays a key part in communicating PSJ UK’s activities, impact, and opportunities to our members, volunteers, partners, and wider audience. The ideal volunteer will have strong writing and editing skills, an interest in social justice issues, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

     

    Role Overview 

    This role involves handling key administrative tasks, coordinating meetings, and ensuring efficient communication within the team. It is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills who want to contribute to a meaningful cause. 

     

     Key Responsibilities:

    • Content Development and Writing
    • Editing and Proofreading
    • Newsletter Design and Layout
    • Distribution and Scheduling
    • Audience Engagement and Feedback
    • Collaboration and Coordination:

     

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Attention to detail, proactive and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Basic knowledge of email marketing or content management platforms (or willingness to learn).
    • Keen interest in peacebuilding, social justice, and community development.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
