Why This Matters

Across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa, young people are demanding change — but they often lack the tools, guidance, and platforms to turn their passion into impact. Meanwhile, PSJ UK’s work continues to grow — and so does the need for long-term, sustainable funding to support it.

This initiative tackles both needs:

• It empowers people with practical skills in advocacy, governance, and human rights.

• It generates revenue to help sustain PSJ UK’s broader mission.

• It builds leadership from the ground up, ensuring communities are led by those who truly understand them.

What We're Building

We are developing a hybrid training hub that offers both online and in-person certified courses in areas such as:

• Human Rights & Social Justice

• Grassroots Organising & Advocacy

• Governance, Leadership & Public Policy

• Peacebuilding & Community Engagement

We aim to launch with a small number of flagship courses — thoughtfully designed, CPD-accredited, and backed by partnerships with respected training bodies.

It’s a way for PSJ UK to shift from always asking for donations to creating value, even while still advancing our mission.

We’re also in early conversations with universities and professional bodies — and plan to involve students from institutions like SOAS and Westminster as researchers, content assistants, and interns.
